End of summer at Ginty Creek

There is not much left of summer at Ginty Creek.  The upper pond is mostly dry.

I walked across it and found a few populations of water crowfoot.

And nearby were a couple of paintbrushes.

abstract from an aspen leafIn places the colour had gone from the vegetation.  The spiked goldenrod in front has just finished flowering; the clump behind has already lost its seed.
