It was largely windy and rainy. Good for the land but the weather took the edge off the fall. This is along our road. Small aspens give the colour, but you can see the new pine trees starting to grow.

Birds always drop a few sunflower seeds and this plant was a monster.

Herons are not seen very often here. This one sat on the beaver house. The house has not been used for a couple of years, but the beavers are still maintaining the dam.

Frost on the kale. They tolerate a lot of frost and perk up once the sun hits them. I found pickings to eat for quite a while.

New snow on the mountains

A trip to Williams Lake.

This clump of aspens is always red. It was partially damaged by the ’21 fire. I’ve noticed before that fire-injured trees produce red colour.

Fall is the season of sunsets as the setting point moves away from the trees and into my view. However, in this gloomy fall we had only one good display.
